] When an animal arrives at SAS the first thing we do is collect and record as much information on that animal as possible.
] We assess the health of the animal. If the animal needs veterinary care it is taken to a Veterinary Doctor
] If cats and dogs are unaltered we schedule them for spaying and neutering
] We take note of, and set about learning the personality and temperament of the animal. {This usually takes about 2 weeks}
] If there is any noted behavioral problems {example...aggression or timidity} we put into place the appropriate training and rehabilitation. No animal will go up for adoption until they are deemed 100% adoptable.
] When an animal is deemed healthy, and gone through any required rehabilitation then the animal is put up for adoption.
] We have a no kill-policy. The only time an animal will be euthenized is if it is deemed to aggressive or to injured to have a reasonable and pain free life.
